MOCK-UP WALLPAPER/MURAL PROPOSAL:
Hello! My name is Mia Nelson, I am a student at Columbia College Chicago studying Graphic Design and Fine Arts. I am a dedicated and experienced artist and designer and have worked with a variety of mediums. I aim to create a small mural for the Bloodsuckers: Legends to Leeches exhibit. Due to the exhibition’s expansive collection of bloodsucking species, myths, legends, and practices-- I chose to create a piece that would feature various bloodsuckers. The exhibit is decorated with life-size replications of bloodsuckers worldwide, sculptures, a theater showing bloodsuckers from popular culture, and more. I wanted to complement these pieces by creating a simple black-and-white tetradic wallpaper displaying some legendary bloodsuckers: Vampires, mosquitos, Red-billed Oxpeckers, and a Vampire Bat.
To maintain the tetradic effect, I will create a wallpaper that can be easily be removed and museum friendly. This process will take 1-2 weeks. This can be completed as soon as we agree on the price and mockup! I am excited to work with the lovely people of the Field Museum. The cost of creating my wallpaper will depend on the scale and paper material.
